Cap d'Antibes: Billionaires' Bay and Plage de la Garoupe
After the morning we spent in the market and the alleys of Antibes, we drove south to Cap d'Antibes. Here we continued the day by the water, between bays and rocks. The sea was so inviting, we wished we had taken swimsuits.

A "cup" means a spoon, a dry tongue that protrudes into the sea. Along the coast there are various bays, and you can choose where to stop by time and desire. Billionaires Bay is also called Anse de l'Argent-Faux, and it is at the foot of Villa Ailenaruk. Above the beach there are luxury houses, but water can be reached through public access.

Travel from Antibes and access to the beach
Mantiv we drove on line 2 and paid through the bus company app. During our visit the ticket cost one euro. The latest lines, stations and rates can be found at Envibus.
At first we tried to get to the beach in a way we knew from old information, but we found that access from there was blocked in private homes. We searched for another public way, and so we reached the billionaires' bay. It is worth marking the public entrance to the beach in advance and using the local signage.
Billionaires Bay
The bay was beautiful. We walked on the rocks by the water and stopped to look and take pictures. This was exactly one of the stops where the plan to just walk along the beach no longer seemed sufficientif we had bathing suits with us, we would be happy to go in the water.

We have traveled several points along the coast and have not completed the Cape's orbit. In some places go on rocks, so it is best to arrive with appropriate shoes and pay attention to the sea condition and terrain.
Stop at La Garupe
At La Garupe beach we sat in a restaurant with Hugo Spritz, cold coffee and carp Nutella and banana. It was a successful break from the water, after a day that started in the market and on the city streets. The beach itself was very beautiful, and even those who did not want to sit down to eat could enjoy the stop and the view.

From La Garupe beach we walked about ten minutes to the bus stop, and from there we returned to the train to Nice. It is worth checking in advance the travel times back, so that it is possible to sit by the sea calmly. In the bag it is recommended to leave room for water, a small towel and a bathing suit.
This day and the rest of the trip to the villages we described in Full travel article Anyone who wishes to add to the visit an organized activity can browse the Tours and activities in the Antibes area We traveled independently here.
