Santa Monica Pier

Santa Monica Pier opened in 1909 and became one of California’s best-known coastal landmarks. We walked there from Venice Beach along the waterfront, arriving at a lively mix of food stands, rides and seaside entertainment. Check events and visitor information; the rides and the pier itself may keep different hours.

The pier is consists of an amusement park, street performers, and food vendors and is famous as a filming location for many movies, TV shows, and music videos.
