The Levine Museum of the New South

The Levine Museum of the New South

Levine was one of our most interesting visits in Charlotte. The exhibitions connected cotton, industry and everyday life with segregation and the struggle for equality. We spent around two hours there and came away with a better understanding of the city and region.

The museum has changed locations since our visit. It is preparing a new home at 1800 South Boulevard and also runs community programmes. Check the museum website for current events and their locations rather than heading to the former Seventh Street building.
