Ramat-Gan National Park

Updated: Oct 2, 2022

I have known this place since I was a child, and it has dramatically improved over the years. During a walk in the park, you pass various stations on a delightful green circular route.

So what to see and do there? A Lot! Let's start...

๐ŸŒณ Green spaces with benches, a shade under trees, and countless places for picnics

๐ŸŒณ Lake with ducks

๐ŸŒณA Waterfall

๐ŸŒณ A Cafe (open on Saturdays)

๐ŸŒณ The Eucalyptus grove - Naomi Shemer Trail - Naomi Shemer is one of the most famous Israeli singer-songwriters. In a route in a eucalyptus grove, you pass between different stations of Shemerโ€™ songs. Each station has a sign with an audio explanation of the song, another button with the song itself, lyrics hanging on the board, and there are facilities related to the song. Stunning idea and charming execution.

๐ŸŒณ A beach corner on the lakeshore, with beach chairs, sunbeds, and a place that sprays cold water from above at the touch of a button.

๐ŸŒณ Ducks and geese roam freely on the grass, especially in the middle of the week when less crowded. ๐ŸŒณ Chess corner with game tables

๐ŸŒณ Shaded playground

๐ŸŒณ a spice garden

๐ŸŒณ Volleyball and ping-pong corners (accessories must be brought from home)

๐ŸŒณ Museum of Man and Animals - a small and charming museum. Here you will find an exhibition on ancient man, sculptures from recycled industrial waste, fossil skeletons of various animals, a show following children's books, and more. The displays have different activities for children.

๐ŸŒณ Cactus Garden - adjacent to the museum - open on Saturday. Sometimes also open on Fridays. You should call the Human and Animal Museum first to find out.

๐ŸŒณ Social library with books on loan - can be taken, read, and returned

๐ŸŒณ Shaded fitness facilities corner.

On hot days you should come early in the morning or afternoon. If you arrive in the middle of the week, you will discover an open, almost empty place, and you will hear the sounds of birds like in the jungle in Thailand.

๐Ÿ“ The routes are accessible

๐Ÿ“ BBQ is prohibited in the park except for the following dates: Rosh Hashana, Sukkot, Pesach, Atzmaut, Lag B'Omer, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Election Day.

๐Ÿ“ The Park closes at 11 pm.

๐Ÿ“ It is forbidden to bring electric vehicles into the park.

Enjoy ๐Ÿค—
