Nitzanim Lake is a water reservoir near Nitzanim Beach - groundwater that has risen to the surface following operations at quarries in the area.
Arrival is on an unmarked path - behind the parking lot, you enter a trail and walk along the lake. We recommend you arrive early because the number of shaded corners is small. It is an excellent place for a picnic on the lakeshore.
For a stunning view of the lake - climb (steep ascent but short) on one of the small paths on the right or reach the end and climb up the path between the trees. The view that emerges from there is fantastic. For a great viewpoint of the lake, you can also climb the slopes to the right of the trail. Kids sometimes use those slopes as natural slides.
