Pointe-de-l’Islet: a lovely short walk after whale watching

A gentle continuation beside the water in Tadoussac.
After our whale-watching cruise, we walked Pointe-de-l’Islet. It was a short, charming and very pleasant outing, with beautiful scenery and no need to commit to another long activity.

The trail is at the meeting of the Saguenay Fjord and St. Lawrence estuary. Wooden walkways and rocky viewpoints let you experience that broad waterside setting from several angles.

The area is also known as a possible place to observe marine mammals from shore. That is a possibility, not a promise, and we are not claiming another whale sighting on this walk. Our confirmed sightings were on the cruise.
It fitted naturally into a day already spent in Tadoussac. Sometimes a short walk by the water is a better continuation than adding another major attraction. Leave room to pause and take photographs.

Wear shoes with grip and watch for wet wood or rocks. A short walk is not necessarily suitable for every level of mobility; check local conditions and remain on permitted paths and viewpoints.
