An Evening in Monaco: Monte Carlo, the Casino and the Marina
To Monaco we arrived in the evening, after visiting the villages and bathing at sea. Near the casino in Monte Carlo we saw luxury cars and lots of people stopping to take pictures. We were going to spend a few hours here, to admire the square and the lobby and look at the marina, without trying to get all the princesses done.

Monte Carlo is a borough in Monaco, which developed as a holiday destination in the 19th century. The Société des Bains de Mer was founded in 1863 under the patronage of Prince Charles III, and established the casino, hotels, and gardens. In 1866, the name Monte Carlo was given to the complex. The splendor that is seen around the square today is a continuation of this tradition of hospitality and recreation.

The lobby and the cars are out.
We entered the casino lobby free of charge, as was possible during our visit. We were asked to remove hats, and turned around a little to be impressed with the design. We did not enter the game rooms, which have separate entry and dress conditions.

Outside the casino, too, we enjoyed lingering and looking at the cars and fronts of the buildings. The square was full of people, and you could spend time there without sitting in a restaurant or going in to play.
Look at the marina.
We then stopped to observe the marina. The lights were reflected in the water, and the view was very different from the villages we walked in the morning. We stayed to look and photograph before looking for anything to eat.

A simple dinner in Monaco
In the casino area we had trouble finding a restaurant at a price that suited us. We ended up buying good bread, berry cheese and vegetables, and were very happy with the dinner. After a long day of traveling and walking, a simple meal was exactly what we felt like.

The Internet That Didn't Work as Expected
Our eSIM did not provide a stable connection in most of the places we hung out in Monaco, and we used restaurant Wi-Fi. Before arriving, it is advisable to check specifically that the package includes Monaco, and to keep the parking and map details also for use without connection.
We came from Menton After the morning at So?The combination is possible, but today was busy. If you want to visit a palace or museum, it is better to dedicate a separate day to Monaco.
