Our visit to the former Jewish Museum in Camden, with updated information about its closure and the interim Two Rooms space at JW3.

Jewish Museum London explores Jewish life and history in Britain. We visited its former Camden building, which closed to visitors on 30 July 2023. As of September 2026, its interim Two Rooms exhibition space is at JW3 in north London while a new permanent home is developed. The experience and photographs below are from the former building.

During our visit, the displays included artworks, ritual and ceremonial objects, and historical documents, connecting everyday life with the community’s history.

On our visit, the first exhibition floor focused on Jewish life, holidays and rituals. The second explored the history and culture of British Jews, including antisemitism across the years. We found it fascinating.

Opening days were limited when we visited. Admission to the current Two Rooms space at JW3 is free. Check opening times and special closures on the Jewish Museum London website and plan your journey to JW3, not the former Camden building.
