Milwaukee Public Museum

Milwaukee Public Museum

At Milwaukee Public Museum I explored rich displays of nature, history and culture: mammoth and dinosaur skeletons, a Costa Rican rainforest, Indigenous cultures, historic Milwaukee streets and life around the world.

They invested a great deal of thought in the design and content of every corner of the museum. I visited the museum twice. At first, I planned to spend two hours visiting, but since I had seen less than half a museum at the time, I returned later for another round — an excellent place for kids and adults.

A move and renaming to the Nature & Culture Museum of Wisconsin are planned for 2027. The current building remains open during 2026, although some objects are being removed for the move. Check open displays and hours and relocation updates.
