St. John the Baptist Church & Catacombs in Thessaloniki

Beside Agia Sophia stands a small church dedicated to St John the Baptist. During our visit we also went down into its underground spaces, a pleasant short stop while exploring the city. It is worth a look when you are nearby; check on arrival whether access below is open. There is no need to set aside half a day for this stop.
