Colorado History Center

The museum presents stories, exhibits, and art that tell the story of Colorado and the American West. The museum has four floors and fifteen fascinating exhibits, including an exhibit on the Ute Native American tribe, on their art, customs, and history; An exhibition about the struggle of Latin American workers for rights against the white majority; about racism in Colorado; about the imprisonment of Americans of Japanese origin during World War II; about the massacre of the Native Americans; about the difficulties and challenges in settlement of the West; About the history of the struggle of the LGBTQ community in Colorado; an exhibition about the gold miners; and more.

In addition, the museum has quite a few attractions for children and families, including a ski jump simulator, a multimedia presentation in a closed cabin, and creative activities.

All in all, a highly recommended museum for visitors to Colorado.
