Sforzesco Castle (Castello Sforzesco) is a magnificent royal fortress in the 15th century by Francesco I Sforza, the duke of Milan.



In the 16th century, this was one of the largest fortresses in Europe. At the end of the 19th century, the fortress was rebuilt and there are various museums in the castle, that show works of Renaissance art.



There are also design galleries and sculptures, furniture, war instruments, and more. The selection is enormous, and you must devote at least several hours to tour the castle.
