In Christianity, there are various streams. According to the Greek Orthodox, this was the place Miriam was announced she will give birth to the son of God. When she was pumping water from the nearby spring, Gabriel appeared before her and informed her that she would give birth to the Son of God.
This church is smaller and more intimate than the Church of the Annunciation. In my opinion, it is more impressive.
Inside, you will find Murals, altars and icons, huge lamps, and a small fountain to which coins are thrown - fascinating.
