Larnaka District Archeological Museum

Larnaca’s Archaeological Museum displays finds from the city and its region, from the Neolithic to the Roman period. Its permanent exhibition was upgraded in 2022, exploring not just objects but also people’s lives, connections between communities, worship and burial customs.

One wing focuses on prehistoric periods, from Neolithic settlement through the later Bronze Age. The other explores historical periods and the city of Kition. We found the visit very interesting without being especially long. Check the Department of Antiquities visitor information.

In the courtyard of the museum, large sculptures and tombstones are displayed, as well as an olive press from the Roman period.
