Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps

The Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps Museum stands opposite the Peter and Paul Fortress, across the Kronverk Canal. In 2018 we saw cannons, guns, communication equipment and an exhibition about Mikhail Kalashnikov. The presentation felt old-fashioned, and the labels we encountered were only in Russian.

Visitors interested in military history and equipment may find a great deal here. Otherwise, we would prioritise other city museums. Before a new visit, check the current exhibitions and available interpretation languages.
