teamLab Planets: Walking Through the Artwork

Our October 2025 visit to teamLab Planets, with current visitor information and practical planning tips.

teamLab Planets: Walking Through the Artwork

Our visit

On day three we had prebooked teamLab Planets. Visitors move barefoot through water, light, mirrors and digital flowers, so the body becomes part of the artwork.

We finished with vegan ramen on site. For us, the combination of visual art, movement and food worked especially well; this was not another museum where one simply stands in front of a wall.

What to know

The experience follows a one-way route and includes areas where visitors enter water. The official site currently states that the Toyosu venue is planned to remain open through the end of 2027.

Planning the visit

Reserve a timed slot, wear trousers that can be rolled above the knee and avoid skirts because of mirrored floors. Lockers are available for belongings.

For a wider route beyond the cities, compare transport and car-rental options in advance and decide what the itinerary actually requires.
