Hollywood Forever Cemetery

Updated: Oct 2, 2022

The Hollywood Forever Cemetery was founded in 1899, and it's one of the oldest in Los Angeles. It was my first stop in LA. I had to go to the grave of my favorite musician Chris Cornell – the lead singer and guitar player of Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the dog, and many solo rock songs that have accompanied me since high school in the ninetieth. His death by suicide shocked me.

We parked inside the cemetery and walked around until we found Cornell's tombstone in the Garden of Legends.

We took a walk between the gravestones, trying to see if there is someone we know. We saw the memorial of Toto from the 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz."

By the way, I've been in lots of cemeteries around the world, but here I saw something unique: Jews and non-Jews are buried together. Usually, there are buried in distinctive graveyards.
