Trigoniou Tower & The Acropolis Walls of Thessaloniki

The area around Trigoniou Tower is one of the loveliest places to view Thessaloniki from above. The walls reveal layers of the city’s defences, including Byzantine remains. The round tower itself was added in the late 15th-century Ottoman period; it is not the Heptapyrgion fortress, elsewhere in the fortifications.
