A stunning day trip in Kiryat Tivon.
📍First spot - Coffee on the edge - a lovely coffee cart with a fantastic view of the guard forest. There are- chairs, hammocks, and mats that overlook the whole area, and the view is stunning. The place is open from Thursday to Saturday.
📍From there, continue through Mitzpe Barak, which overlooks the entire area, through the flowering forest.
📍Second spot - the cemetery of the Guardians' Association. The people of "Bar Giora," "Hashomer," and the Haganah are buried in the cemetery, which is small and beautiful.
📍Next, go down to the street in the pleasant streets of Kiryat Tivon on the orange path (which is also part of the Sanhedrin path). Then you reach the monument in memory of Alexander Zeid. On the way, you see the remains of an ancient synagogue, a basilica, and a city gate, announcing your approach to Beit Shearim National Park (highly recommended. press here).
📍We did not continue there but climbed up the hill to the impressive monument this time. Next to the statue, you can click on an explanation about Zaid and hear the famous song "On the hills of Shake Abreik". The view from the hill is fantastic.
Enjoy🤗
