A Beautiful viewpoint of the Golan Heights and Syria, walking in the ruins of a military post and a cafe with a great name.
Mount Bentel is an extinct volcano. There is a beautiful view of the area: the Golan Heights, Mount Hermon, and there is even a possibility of waving to the neighbors in Syria ...
Near the observation points, you can walk inside the ruins of an IDF military post (built on the ruins of a Syrian base) that has been preserved. It is fascinating for both children and adults.
And, of course, the Kofi Anan Cafe (such a great play on words) overlooks it.
The path from the parking lot to the top of the mountain is filled with steel sculptures - fascinating works by a Dutch sculptor, a member of Kibbutz Merom Golan.
Enjoy🤗
