- Lev Hasharon Winter Pool
A small and charming community nature park. The park is intended to restore various plants and animals typical of the Sharon area, and it serves as a refuge for them. It has comfortable walking trails, picnic meadows and a hill that children run up and down and turn into a natural slide ... In the center of the park, you will find the winter pool. It is a large puddle, which fills up every year after the rains. It is a habitat for animals and plants. We listened to the singing of frogs, looked at the species of plants, walked the trails, and had a picnic. The tour of the park lasts about half an hour. You can continue walking on the paths of the adjacent forest. Do not forget to bring food and drink with you. For more trips in the Sharon area press here. Enjoy🤗
- Raanana Park
Raanana Park is a pleasant place. It has a large pond with ducks and the possibility of boating on the pond. There are comfortable hiking trails, lots of facilities for children, and lovely corners for picnics and rest. We walked in the pleasant air, there were lots of birds flying and landing on the grass, and we even saw some cyclamen on the side of the trees. You will also find a spice garden, a musical garden, a wooden playground, a roller-skating area, and a living space in the park. On Saturdays, you can also take a trip on the park train. - Dora Winter Pool
In the middle of a residential neighborhood, there is a large, green, and beautiful park. It has comfortable walking trails, and in the middle of the park, there is a large and impressive winter pool. It is so vast it looks like a lake. The pool is beautiful; ducks swim in it, some of the vegetation is in the water (large trees emerge from the lake because it is dry there in summer), and some grow at the pool’s edge. We hiked in the rain, and it was beautiful. One of the beautiful things in the pool is the branches of the trees that protrude out of the water and into them. On dry days you can use the picnic tables and facilities for children. For more trips in the area press here Enjoy🤗
- Ein Afek National Park
Ein Afek Nature Reserve is a national park filled with vegetation, overlooking water sources and the main attraction - a wood bridge over the water. The Park preserves the springs and habitats of Nahal Naaman springs. There are two options for leisurely strolls. The route known as "long" is actually circular and short. It passes the flour mill. You can enter it and climb inside the stairs to observe the park from the roof. You walk trails with green aquatic vegetation around, hear crickets and frogs, and then reach the floating bridge. The short route leads directly to the wooden bridge. The wooden bridge floats on the water and seeks to give a feeling of walking on water. The combination of water, the wooden bridge, and vegetation provide a sense of a tropical area in Thailand. ✅Parents of young children, please note - there is no railing along the bridge. The children must be supervised. ✅There are picnic tables with benches and plenty of shaded areas. ✅Near the entrance, there is a small garden and a garden with an explanation next to each plant. ✅Please note – you cannot enter the water. Enjoy🤗
- Haifa City Museum
The Haifa City Museum is located in the German Colony in a 19th century Templar’s House. Friday-Saturday admission is free. In the room near the entrance, there is a small permanent exhibition on the development of Haifa. In the room, you go through the timeline from the formation of Haifa to the present while mentioning the main stations and presenting objects from different periods. Alongside the permanent exhibition, there are rotating exhibitions. We visited two fascinating exhibitions. The first exhibition is dedicated to the LGBT community in Haifa and in Israel. It tells a story of marginalization, silence, violence against community members and associations, and the struggle to bring about change. The second exhibition deals with former USSR expatriates in Israel. It presents the pain of immigration, cultural gaps, and integration into Israeli society. Alongside objects and installations, short films are screened that represent in animation the migration complexity and stories of museum workers in Haifa who came from the USSR fill boxes in the exhibition. Outside, there are some games for kids designed to illustrate what immigration is. Enjoy🤗
- The German Colony
The German Colony is one of the most beautiful and intriguing streets in Haifa. The upper part is bounded by the gorgeous Baha'i Gardens, and the lower part descends towards the sea. You will find charming houses from the 19th century, restaurants, cafes, and the interesting city museum in the middle. The Templars were Germans who came to Israel in the 19th century believed that settlement here would lead to the redemption of the world. They brought their knowledge and tradition and made the place a replica of a modern German town. Several houses in the contemporary colony remained from those years and are now designated for preservation. Along the street, there are signs and a map guiding you to the houses Shopping enthusiasts: In the City Center, you will find an outlet with several brands. It is also open on Saturdays. At the end of the first floor, a small beer bar serves excellent beers from the barrel, food next to the beer (like hot dogs). There is an option to fill beer in bottles to take home. The city museum has a small permanent exhibition on the development of Haifa and rotating exhibits. The museum itself is located in what was in the 19th century the Templar People's House. Friday-Saturday admission is free. And along the street there are various cafes and restaurants Enjoy🤗

- Cafes in the German Colony
There are various cafes and restaurants in the German Colony. Two are my favorites: The first is Fatoosh Fatoosh has a pleasant garden overlooking the street and upstairs another floor In the second floor there are several rooms, all cozy, charmingly decorated. Each room is decorated in a different style, and you can see that they have thought about each and every corner. This is a great place to come and work on your laptop - lots of rooms, full of electrical outlets and one room that looks like a small library. They serve delicious Cafe's food On the other side of the street you will find Strudel. It also has a courtyard decorated in a vintage style combined with Arab motifs. There is also a pleasant and beautiful air-conditioned space. In the menu you will find a combination of Arab and Western food. Enjoy🤗
- The Bahai Gardens
The Baha'is are a small and intriguing religion. The Bahai’s roots are in Islam, but it is not defined as a stream of Islam and, in Iran, is even persecuted. It has millions of believers globally, and they believe in equality, justice, solidarity, and pacifism. Its global centers are in Acre and Haifa. The Bahais place great emphasis on aesthetics and beauty, which is reflected in the design of the gardens in their centers. The Baha'i complex on mount Carmel is stunning in its beauty. It is a place of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The gardens are spectacular. You will find there dozens of types of plants in neatly order, and paths paved with reddish gravel. In large parts of the gardens, you will find terraces, fountains, and canals. Located on the highest part of the German colony, the gardens and temple are the cherry on the cake. Important: 1. If you wish to tour the gardens, please note that the Baha'is ask you to dress modestly. 2. Due to the COVID-19, there are changes in the area's opening: The temple is closed to visitors. Entrance from the top of the gardens (Yeffa Nof 60 street) is only for those who have booked a tour of the site in advance. it is possible to enter some parts from 80 Zionism Street from 9am to 12pm. The entrance from the German Colony is currently closed Enjoy 🤗
- Wadi Nisnas
A tour in Wadi Nisnas is a celebration of colors and flavors. The wadi is full of small shops, bakeries, and homemade Arabian food. You can buy excellent falafel, fresh vegetables and olive oil with a wonderful taste. I suggest wandering the narrow streets, going into the shops and enjoying the unique atmosphere. Here are some recommendations: Khoury's Bakery has wonderful pastries with chard and hyssop and perfect date cookies. Abu Shakra's butchery has excellent meat sandwiches In the market, you will home-cooked food, find zucchini and eggplants that have already been emptied and prepared for filling, seasonal vegetables, and houseware. Want dessert? You can find Coffee, amazing sugar-free halva, and date and carobs candy in Haifa Café. In Ziad’s store next door, you will find excellent halva (with sugar ...) that he brings from Nablus (red box) and wonderful tahini from the same company from Nablus. Enjoy🤗

- Little Switzerland in the carmel
Little Switzerland - Nahal Kalach is a spectacular trail in Carmel Mountain. At some parts, you walk in the forest, at other parts there are marvelous viewpoints. You start on the path marked in white-red-white and return on the path marked in green. In May we came again because it is one of the only places in Israel where you can find a white lily. It is rare, endangered, does not bloom in large clusters. Israel Nature and Parks Authority wrap in barbed wire the places where it is growing. Looking for the White Lily is an excuse to walk again in this beautiful trail overlooking the Carmel... Enjoy🤗 For more places in Haifa press here
