- Daliyat al-Karmel
A hike in a Forest, herbs, market, good food, and wonderful sweets – a tour in the Druze village of Dalit to Carmel which overlooks the Carmel mountains. I have prepared for you a trip that includes several great spots: ✅Sha'ar HaCarmel parking lot: In the Keren Carmel Forest you will find picnic benches, you can hike the trails, reach the Keren Carmel lookout point, and more. ✅Jasmine Center: Puta Halaby heads this center that specializes in herbs. Puta recounts what led her to engage in herbs and introduce plants with different virtues designed to heal and help the body in a conversation over a cup of tea she has brewed. She also makes natural soaps and sells pure honey and olive oil. For example, this is a mix of herbs - a secret recepie. ✅The Daliyat al-Karmel market: several shops that are fun to walk around - you will find scarves, furniture, handkerchiefs, and much more. ✅Dalit Al-Carmel Sweets: A great selection of excellent baklava. - Nahal Oren and Ein Alon
Nahal Oren and Ein Alon - a charming route in Carmel Park. Here are some key stations along the way: 📍 The monument in memory of those who perished in the Carmel fire disaster –is very impressive. There is a large balcony, and the statue looks like a flame of fire. There is an audio button, and you hear an explanation of what happened. There is an observation of the entire area. From there you descend on a black path to the parking lot of Kedumim Quarry. 📍 From there go down a green path towards Nahal Oren. The trail is beautiful. On the way there are observations, the stream is still flowing, and you can paddle your feet. In the end, you reach Ein Alon. 📍 Ein Alon Pool is a stunning spot - a rectangular spring pool with shade. A perfect spot for resting and drinking coffee. The water is clear. I have heard that there are reservations about the quality of the water but there are disagreements on the matter. We paddled our feet. Notice that the pool is not always filled with water. - The Abandoned Syrian Headquarters
One of the most interesting places in the Golan Heights is the abandoned Syrian Headquarters. When Israel conquered the Golan Heights in 1967 the IDF found in the deserted Syrian headquarters ammunition and papers. The IDF settled there for several years but due to agreements following the Yom Kippur war (1973), left it and it remained deserted until the present. Over the years it was covered with fascinating Grafitti. Walking down the corridors of the abandoned headquarters (it has three stories) is fascinating and chilling. Another very interesting story regarding this place: Eli Cohen, the famous Israeli spy in Syria, who was finally caught and executed visited the place in 1962. To honor him a statue of a lock was placed in front of the building. It symbolizes the way he succeeded to unlock the Syrian secrets and simultaneously the way he locked his knowledge and secrets when he was caught. And as in many other places in the Golan Heights, the view from the headquarters is spectacular Enjoy 🤗

- Ein Shoko
Ein Shoko - one of the most beautiful, well-maintained, and intimate spring pools in the Golan Heights. Next to the pool, there is a corner with shade and a bench overlooking the Sea of Galilee. The incredible view can also be seen when immersing in the pool itself and the combination is perfect. 📌Due to the color of the rocks in the Golan Heights, the water in the pictures looks cloudy. I'm not going to tamper with them so they look inviting -you will have to trust me. They are very clear. For an amazing viewpoint on the Sea of Galilee: On the way back, climb up a bit up the trail (towards Kibbutz Mevo Hama). The climb is a bit challenging and the view is mesmerizing. The place was built in memory of Sgt. Matan Gaderi, who was killed in Hebron in 2003. We were in the middle of the week, occasionally people came, but most of the time we were alone. On the weekends more people arrive. Enjoy 🤗
- Ein Divsha Water Trail
Ein Divsha is a perfect water trail for small children and adults who want to take it easy Two minutes from the parking lot, and you are in the water trail. - Ein Tina Water Trail
Sich a fun water trail! You walk in water that is knee-high. You can sit in the two pools at the beginning of the water trail. There are parts in which it is harder to walk in the stream, and there are railings on both sides to help with walking. Those who come with small children can stop at the end of this trail. Those who want to continue – climb up a few minutes until you reach two pipes that create two waterfalls between the rocks. You can go back the same way or go down in the dry track. - Nasiba - Great Druze Food
In the small Druze village Buqataa in the Golan Heights, there is an excellent Druze restaurant named Nasiba Druze Home Chef. As you sit down, more and more dishes that characterize Druze cuisine arrive at the table. All fresh and tasty - different types of salads, bulgur, makluba, majadara, pita bread stuffed with spinach, kebab, rice with almonds, and a wonderful dessert (I forgot its name…) - nuts and cheese in the deep-fried dough and coated with sugar syrup - dreamy. Nasiba is the chef, an amazing woman who is an excellent cook. She built her own empire in a very conservative and patriarchal society. The guests are welcome to hear her fascinating life story, demonstrating what it is like to be a groundbreaking feminist in a traditional community. - Water Trail in the Lower Banias Stream
The Banias Stream (a.k.a. Hermon Stream) has several parts. The upper part, a national park, is stunning, but it is forbidden to get into the water. You can enter the water and swim in other parts, like the lower Banias. You can enter the water and swim in other parts, like the lower Banias. You start from the eucalyptus parking lot. There is a path with the possibility of two routes - to the right in (towards Shear Yishuv) and a shorter way to the left in the direction of Sde Nehemia called the Ami Trail promenade. The Ami Trail Promenade is actually a dry trail parallel to the lower Banias. Every few meters, there is a small path from which you can enter the stream. You can swim, flow with the stream, sit on the banks of the Banias in shaded spots. It is amazing. Next to Sde Nehemiah, there is also a small area of lawns. At the beginning of the promenade, where the Ami Trail begins, the water flow is calm. Immediately afterward, there is a waterfall followed by a powerful flow. Towards Sde Nehemiah, in an area called Sde Nehemiah Lake, it is feeble. In the morning, the water is frozen and, throughout the day, warms up. Hikers arrive with tubes, wheels, mattresses and are swept away by the stream from the beginning of the water trail. At its end, they return on the dry route to the beginning of the water trail and do the same water trail again and again ... I have seen families who have done this route several times (there is no doubt that the children slept well at night ...) There is no lifeguard along the entire route. Entering the water and swimming is the sole responsibility of the swimmers. Families with small children need to be very careful in the parts of the intense flow. This water trail is a great Pleasure Enjoy🤗 For more amazing places in the Golan Heights press here
- Sara's House of Jams
Do you remember Hansel and Gretel and the candy house? So, I found its Israeli version only with jams ... In a small house in Kidmat Zvi in the Golan Heights, there is a small house filled with homemade jams. A path of stones leads to it, and inside, next to the masses of jars also hang witches'... Sarah, the owner of the place, is a charming woman. She tells about her hobby, explains the production of jams, and presents varied results ranging from garlic jam (yes yes) through combinations like apricot and arak to more classic jams like strawberries. Sarah's husband is a beekeeper, and she also sells the thick and wonderful honey he produces. Enjoy🤗 For more amazing places in the Golanolan Heights press here
- Natura Ecological Farm
Looking for out-of-the-box accommodations in the Golan Heights? I have found the place for you if you love simplicity, closeness to nature, good energies, and want to see how vision becomes a reality. Orly and Uriah, a couple with 5 children, were former El Al employees who lived in the center. They moved to Moshav Natur and started building an ecological farm with their own hands. They built all kinds of diverse and extraordinary accommodations. There is a yurt (a big tent) for 10 people, a truck for 5 people, a trailer for a couple, and camping sites for tents. The communal areas include a shared kitchen with refrigerators and stoves, rest areas with swings and hammocks, a small garden, goats, and donkeys. It is a charming place - simple, cozy, and fun. - Hula Lake Park (Agamon Hahula)
What a stunning trail in Agamon Hula. Eight and a half km of great views. Agamon Hula is a beautiful park and nature reserve. The area is well-kept, green, blooming, the viewpoints to the lake are spectacular. There are several ways to travel it: ✅Renting a Club Car - for families - we did it, and it was fantastic. A leisurely ride in the open "car." The paths are well-marked; you pass between various stations, stop at the botanical garden. There are many shady spots along the way, with views of the lake. ✅ Renting a bike - this is what my friend and I did once, and it was terrific. The road is flat, so the ride is not challenging; there are many places to stop to rest, everything is open and wonderful. ✅ On foot, you should consider that the paths are not shaded if you choose this option. As mentioned, there are many places with shade to rest in, but the walk itself is in the sun. 📌 There is an entrance fee 📌 Club car and bicycle rental - at an additional fee 📌In the summer, we suggest arriving early in the morning when it is most pleasant to do the route.
